Create line content
The line is an app-based instant messaging platform. You can develop different messages for Line either from the scratch or using existing templates and customize the message content as required.
To navigate to the content creative page, see create a campaign.
To navigate to the Line message creation page, follow these steps.
- In the Content section, click Add creative.
- Navigate to the Line tab and select the Line account through which you want to send a message.
You will see different types of messages available for Line. - Select your preferred message type and create a message. To know how to create a specific type of message, see the respective section.
Card Message
A Card message consists of text, image, and action (Call to action or CTA). You can add up to 10 images in a single message. Each message can have a redirection URL or text reply action (in a carousel format). You can create a Card message or use an existing template from the library.
Prerequisites
Before starting with creating a Card message, you need to have the image(s) available in your local system with the following properties.
- Image dimension: 1024 x 1024 pixels
- Image size should not exceed 1 MB per file
- Image format: JPEG or PNG
Create a Card message
- On the Line Creative page, select the last icon amongst the given five icons.
- You can create a message from scratch or use an existing template.
To create a message from scratch:
- Click Create new.
- Enter a title for the message. The title should not exceed 100 characters.
- Upload an image in the Upload Image area using any of the following processes.
- Click Your computer to upload from your local system. [or]
- Click Gallery to upload an image from the library.
Note: To change a selected image, click Reupload.
- In Action, enter your preferred label name for the CTA option. Action name should not exceed 12 characters.
- Select your preferred Action Type.
- Text: To send an automated message to the brand's Line account from the recipients' account.
- URL: To redirect recipients to a specific URL.
- To add more cards to the message, click + Add a card and configure each card as explained in steps 1-4. You can add up to 10 images in a single message.
- Click Done to save the message.
- To delete a message, click the Bin Icon.
- To duplicate a message, click page icon.
To create using an existing template:
- Click Select template.
You will see the list of templates available. - Select your preferred template. You can also use the Search option to fetch a specific template.
- Modify Title, Action, and Action Type if required.
- Click Done to save the message.
Rich Message
A Rich message is an image with multiple clickable areas that you can use to redirect recipients to different pages. You can create a Rich message or use an existing template from the template library.
There are two types of layouts for a Rich Message.
- Square: An image of size 1040 × 1040 with multiple clickable grid areas.
- Custom: An image of size ranging from 1040 × (520 to 2080) with a single clickable area.
Create a Rich Message
- On the Line Creative page, select the fourth icon amongst the given five.
- You can create a message from scratch or use an existing template.
To create a message from scratch:
- Click Create new.
- Enter a Title for the message. The title should not exceed more than 100 characters.
- Click Select Template and select your preferred layout for the message.
- Square You can have an image of standard size 1040 × 1040 with multiple clickable grid areas.
- Custom: You can have an image with a size ranging from 1040 × (520 to 2080) with a single clickable area.
- Click Your computer to upload an image from your local system. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop the image from your local system to the image area. Make sure the dimension of the image is according to the template layout.
Note: To change a selected image, click Reupload.
- In the Enter URL Link box, type the URL of the page that must be redirected when the user clicks the image.
When you select a template that has multiple partitions, then you will see URL options for each partition. For example, if there are three partitions in a template, you will see three separate fields for URL. You can see the message preview on the right pane. - Click Done to save the changes.
To create a Rich message using an existing template:
- Click Select template. You will see the list of templates available.
- Select your preferred template. You can also use the Search option to fetch a specific template.
- Modify the message Title if required.
- Click Reupload if you want to change the template image and upload an image from your local system.
- In the Enter URL Link box, type the URL of the page that must be redirected when the user clicks the image.
When you select a template that has multiple partitions, then you will see URL options for each partition. For example, if there are three partitions in a template, you will see three separate fields for URL. You can see the message preview on the right pane. - Click Done to save the changes.
Sticker Message
You can send a sticker as a message. There are 113 animated stickers available in the library. You can choose your preferred sticker from the library to create a new message.
Create a sticker message
- On the Line Creative page, select the emoji icon.
- Click Select stickers and select your preferred sticker from the library.
- Click Done to save the changes.
Bubble Message
Bubble Message is a head-like chat icon that floats on top of the messaging apps screen. A bubble message can have up to five messages and either be created using a single message type or with a combination of different message types - Text Message, Image, Rich Message, or Stickers. You can add, remove, and reorder messages in a bubble as required.
Create a message bubble
- On the Line Creative page, navigate to your preferred message type - Text message, Rich Message, Card Message, Image, or Stickers
- Configure the message using the procedure explained in the respective section (see preceding sections).
- To add a new message to the bubble, click +Add Message, navigate to the message type that you want to add and create the message according to the steps mentioned in the respective section (see preceding sections).
- Similarly, you can add up to five messages of the same or different types in a bubble.
- Click Done to save the changes.
Rich Video Message
Line messages in Engage+ support video messages. You can create a new rich video message or use an existing video from the video library.
Prerequisites
The following are the prerequisites to create a video message.
You need to have the video in your local system or the video library with the following conditions.
- Supported video file size: < 200 MB.
- Supported video format: MP4
Create a new video message
- On the Line Creative page, select the video camera icon.
- To add a video to the rich video message, click Create new and upload a video from your local system or select an existing video from the video library.
To upload the video from your local system:
- Click Create new.
- Enter the title of the video
- The title need not exceed more than 100 characters. It appears as the push notification content when the message arrives at the client’s device.
- To upload the video, browse or drag and drop the video file from your computer.
There are two options available for the action button.
i. To hide the action button, select the Hide check box.
ii. To create your own action button label, enter the Link URL, then enter the Action button label.
- Action button label should not exceed 20 characters.
- See the message preview on the right pane.
- To save the video, click Done.
To create a video message using an existing video
- On the Line Creative page, select the video camera icon.
- To use an existing video from the video library, click Select template.
- Select your preferred video.
- Modify the Title, Action button, Link URL, and Action button label if required
- To save the rich video message, click Done.
