Create Cart Promotion

An organization can have up to 250 active promotions across all types. If needed, this limit can be increased based on requirements. To create a cart promotion, perform the following:

Go to Engage+ and open the campaign in which you want to create cart promotion, navigate to the promotions tab
Click on Create promotion

Enter the details for the cart promotion. The details are as follows:

Field (Fields marked with * are mandatory)	Description
Promotion name*	Name for the cart promotion. You can use the expired or disabled promotion names in cart promotions. Use case of same cart promotion names - A brand wanting to run yearly Independence day sale or seasonal sale that repeats every year they would want to use the same promotion name that customer can recall.
Promotion description	Write a few words explaining what the cart promotion is about. This also helps to differentiate between the cart promotions.
Promotion duration*	Start date and end date of the cart promotion.

Name for the cart promotion. You can use the expired or disabled promotion names in cart promotions. Use case of same cart promotion names -

A brand wanting to run yearly Independence day sale or seasonal sale that repeats every year they would want to use the same promotion name that customer can recall.

Promotion description

Write a few words explaining what the cart promotion is about. This also helps to differentiate between the cart promotions.

Promotion duration*

Start date and end date of the cart promotion.

Select the Promotion Type. For more information, refer to Types of Cart Promotions.

Note: Promotions created with a loyalty scope of "ALL Customers" will be applicable to all, but they won't appear on the UI, customers can still avail these promotions.

Enable the toggle under Issue the promotion in deactivated state(Applicable for Loyalty Cart Promotions, Loyalty Earning Cart Promotions, and Rewards Promotions).This allows the promotion to be issued in a deactivated state, requiring the customer to manually activate it before it can be applied during a transaction.
Click on Next to continue.
